Long past due!!!!

Hey everybody.. I realize that I haven't written to you all in ages.. mostly because we have been insanely busy and I have been having a hard time finding the words to say.. but we will start with just an update. I realize that I haven't written since Dec and ALOT has happened since then.. Christmas and New Years passed with nothing really happening just a normal day for me.. I got to spend it with a baby and a wonderful  family from church and I enjoyed it. Just for this post I want to update you on the ongoings of 1Hope and the Baby home. We had two of our babies go into their forever homes. I have the pleasure of seeing both of them recently and they are doing amazing. Their families love them and these babies have settled perfectly into their family. Its been so awesome to see the Lord work and to see these living examples of what Christ has done for us. So we went down two and since then have received three more babies. An 18 month old boy a 12 month old boy and a 4 month little girl.. Both boys are rambunctious and love running around. One is fully adoptable the other we are hoping to return to his father soon. our 18 month old had a harder time adjusting to our home due to the fact he misses his father but his Dad comes faithfully to church every week to see him. So pray that the gospel will reach his ears and that the Lord will save him!!! Our four month is the sweetest thing ever.. she is very tiny but has the biggest eyes and smile.. We had a scare with her for a little while. She was taken to urgent care due to a flu bug that swept through our baby home. She became dehydrated and spent three nights at the hospital.. It was touch and go for a night but the Lord was faithful and she is restored to a happy healthy baby and is such a joy to have in the home.

As for 1Hope we just finished our first Together for Adoption conference. It was amazing!!! Its a conference that has been held in the states for many years and is now starting to reach to other countries and we put our first one on!! We had an American team come from California to help us with childcare for the conference and everything went smoothly. We discussed why we adopt,.and in a culture here that is wary of adoption, we were able to see some dramatic results right away and see some people really receive the truth of adoption. In summary.... We adopt because its the loving thing to do first of all but second of all because Christ loves us as sons and daughters. We are all adopted and our adoptions as sons and daughters helps us to show compassion to those who don't have families and in return we can show a living example of Christ's love for us by adopting and loving that child as our own. I have always wanted to adopt, this conference encouraged me even more. I would like to adopt one day, I really want to adopt one day. The Lord is working in South Africa towards adoption and I am so grateful to be apart of it..
